About

Forming in 2013, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, A Band Called Twang were quick to impact the Brisbane music scene, drawing many dancers to their shows with their original hi-energy, multi-vocal Rockabilly/Roots Americana. With performances at Australia’s best loved Rock n’ Roll Festivals, their sell-out shows establishing them at the “Tip of the top of the Australian Rockabilly Scene”. Their Americana inspired ‘Rootin’ Tootin’ was released to wide acclaim - ‘Album of the week’ (ABC radio) and the drive-time hit ‘Don’t Baby Me’ (#1 in the Australian Community Radio Charts) saw them widen their appeal, crossing over to perform at a number of Country Music Festivals and go on to take their unique brand of Rockabilly infused Americana to Europe, performing at Finland's 100th Rock & Roll Jamboree and the highly eclectic Alt-Country Muddy Roots Festival in Belgium. Now with their 3rd album in the pipeline, the band return to their rockabilly roots with a much more blues inspired offering. With international appearances re-booked for 2024 the band are looking forward to showcasing their new songs at events across the globe.
